Let your dog’s nose lead the way on a Sniffari Adventure at Muddy Paws! This enriching experience is more than just a walk, it's a guided exploration designed to tap into your dog's most powerful sense: their sense of smell.
During a Sniffari, your dog will be taken on a slow-paced, curiosity-driven journey around our property, where they’re encouraged to stop, sniff, and investigate a variety of natural scents, textures, and environments. We may add novel scent stations, treat trails, and hidden surprises along the way to further spark their interest and promote mental stimulation.
Unlike a typical walk, a Sniffari focuses on giving your dog the freedom to explore at their own pace, promoting relaxation, stress relief, and emotional well-being. It’s a great way to satisfy your dog’s natural sniffing instincts, especially for dogs who are high-energy, anxious, aging, or just love to use their noses.

Scent Trail
A treat or scent trail is laid out for dogs to follow, engaging their powerful noses and providing a rewarding and stimulating challenge.
Scatterfeed
Instead of feeding from a bowl, kibble or treats are scattered on the ground or in the grass, encouraging dogs to forage and engage in natural hunting behaviors.
Muffin Tins
A problem-solving game where treats are hidden in a muffin tin and covered with tennis balls, requiring dogs to figure out how to remove the balls to get the treats.
Pass Me a Towel
Dogs are given a towel with treats hidden inside, which they have to shake, paw, and unwrap to uncover their rewards.
Take It/Leave It
A self-control game where dogs are presented with treats or toys and must wait for the command to take them, reinforcing impulse control.
Ice Ice Baby
Frozen treats or toys encased in ice provide a fun, cooling challenge for dogs to lick and chew their way through. Perfect for hot days!
Hula Hoop
A simple but fun agility challenge where dogs jump through a hula hoop, building confidence and coordination.
Lickity Split
Dogs enjoy licking peanut butter, yogurt, or other dog-safe spreads from a textured lick mat, providing a calming activity that promotes relaxation and dental health.
Upright TP
A game using empty toilet paper rolls standing up, with a treat hidden inside. Dogs must knock it over and figure out how to get the treat out.
Balloon Fun

A fun game using a towel or box with holes, where treats or toys pop up randomly, encouraging quick thinking and paw-eye coordination.
